Midday, X100S and ND filter

I am not one to shoot at midday, but after reading David Hobby's post on the ND-filter and built-in flash of the X100S I gave it a try, allowing the leaf shutter to shoot at 1/800 with the flash on.

I purposely walked into the bright, sunny sky of Gauteng, South Africa and got this shot:

ISO 200 f/2.8  1/800  Time 13:24

ISO 200 f/2.8  1/800  Time 13:24

Now, I know it's not the perfect shot, but it was impressive to see this technique at work. The midday shadows are still a bit heavy for my liking, but I am impressed. I need to play more.
